Transporting the Printer
If you need to transport your printer some distance, carefully
repack the printer using the original box and packing materials.
CAUTION: When repacking the printer for transpor-
tation, press the PAPER SELECT button until the
display shows Tractor. and then follow the steps below.
1.
Take the printer off line before turning it off so that the ink
nozzles are properly capped.
2.
Remove the optional cut sheet feeder or pull tractor, if
installed. (See Chapter 5 for option removal instructions.)
3.
Unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet; then
disconnect the interface cable and power cable from the
printer. Next, remove the paper guide.
