Initialization
There are four ways that the printer can be initialized (returned
to a fixed set of conditions).
Hardware initialization
l
When the power is turned on.
l
When the printer receives an
INIT signal at the parallel
interface (pin 31 goes LOW).
l
When both the ON LINE and
LOAD/EJECT button is pressed at
the same time.
Software initialization
&Software sends the ESC @
(initialize the printer) command.
These four kinds of initialization have slightly different effects.
In particular, ESC @ does not initialize the printer mechanism,
clear the input data buffer, or clear the user-defined character
set.
