Understanding Entry Cursor
As you key in a number, the cursor (_) appears and blinks in the display. The cursor
shows you where the next digit will go; it therefore indicates that the number is not
complete.
If you execute a function to calculate a result, the cursor disappears because the
number is complete —entry has been terminated.
Pressing
terminates entry. To separate two numbers, key in the first
number, press
to terminate entry, and then key in the second number
If entry is not terminated (if the cursor is present),
backspaces to erase the last
digit. If entry is terminated (no cursor),
acts like and clears the entire
number. Try it!
