Lexmark 302 Printer User Manual

Configuration Parameter Values
Parameter values are settings that the printer recognizes to do the
following:
Format the printed page
Set printing and performance options
Set character sets for different languages
Modify the alarm volume or disable the alarm.
The printer can use the parameter values set by the factory, or you
can change them. The new values you set from the operator panel
become the new parameter values.
Important
Changes to these values will not be saved when you turn the
printer Off (O) unless you choose to save them in a Custom
Default Set. In other words, all configuration changes are
online—only changes until they are saved using the Save Current
Values parameter in the Configuration Menu under Configuration
Storage. For detailed information on saving configuration
changes, see “Storing Configuration Parameters” in
IBM 4232
Printer Model 302 Operator Panel Instructions
.
Some of the values you can change from the Configuration Menu on
the operator panel are:
Characters per inch (CPI)
Lines per inch (LPI)
Maximum print position (MPP)
Maximum page length (MPL)
Print language
Display language
System interface
Print quality
Alarm setting.
See
IBM 4232 Printer Model 302 Operator Panel Instructions
for the
procedures to check or change each of the parameter values.
