2. Click Cancel to cancel the configuration on the screen and reset the data on the screen to the
latest value of the switch.
3. If you change any of the settings on the page, click Apply to send the updated configuration to
the switch. Configuration changes take effect immediately
ARP Entry Configuration
Use this page to add an entry to the ARP table. To display the page:
4. Click the Advanced > ARP Entry Configuration link from the Routing > ARP tab.
Table 4-10. Global ARP Configuration Fields
Field Description
Age Time (secs) Enter the value you want the switch to use for the ARP entry ageout
time. You must enter a valid integer, which represents the number of
seconds it will take for an ARP entry to age out. The range is 15 to
21600 seconds. The default value is 1200 seconds.
Response Time (secs) Enter the value you want the switch to use for the ARP response
timeout. You must enter a valid integer, which represents the number of
seconds the switch will wait for a response to an ARP request. The
range is 1 to 10 seconds. The default value is 1 second.
Retries Enter an integer which specifies the maximum number of times an ARP
request will be retried. The range for this field is 0 to 10. The default
value is 4.
Cache Size Enter an integer which specifies the maximum number of entries for the
ARP cache. The range is 47 to 238. The default value is 238.
Dynamic Renew This controls whether the ARP component automatically attempts to
renew ARP entries of type Dynamic when they age out. The default
setting is Enable.
