Before asking for service, check the following points.
Problem
Power does not turn on.
No picture appears.
The picture is fuzzy.
COLOR is too light or TINT
is poor.
No sound can be heard.
Remote control unit does
not operate.
The picture does not display
correctly.
Possible cause
The power cord is not connected.
The main power switch on the projector is turned off.
The main power supply is not being supplied to the wall outlet.
TEMP indicator is illuminated or flashing.
Correct the problem while referring to the instructions on page 38.
LAMP indicator is illuminated or flashing.
Correct the problem while referring to the instructions on page 38.
The lamp unit cover has not been correctly installed.
The REMOTE POWER function has been set to “OFF”.
The lens cap may still be attached to the lens.
The video signal input source may not be connected properly.
The input selection setting may not be correct.
The BRIGHT adjustment setting may be at the minimum possible setting.
The PICTURE MUTE function has been set to “ON”.
Has the power save function been activated? (Refer to page 36.)
The lens focus may not have been set correctly, or the projector may not be at the
correct distance from the screen.
The lens may be dirty.
The projector may not be set up so that it is perpendicular to the screen.
COLOR or TINT adjustment may be incorrect.
The input source which is connected to the projector may not be adjusted
correctly.
The audio signal source may not be connected properly.
The volume adjustment may be at the lowest possible setting.
The MUTE function may be active.
The batteries may be spent, or they may not be inserted correctly.
There may be an object between the remote control unit and the projector which
is blocking the infrared signals.
The remote control unit may be out of the operation range.
The correct input signal may not be selected.
The input signal setting mode (TV-SYSTEM) may not be set correctly.
There may be a problem with the VCR tape or other signal source.
