Overview
This chapter provides the steps needed to provide management connectivity to
the T1 access unit. You need to select and configure:
H A method of local management connectivity for T1 access units.
H A method for end-to-end management connectivity across the network.

Configuring Local Management Control
When managing the T1 access unit locally, you can establish a management link
in one of two ways. You can:
H Create a management link directly connected through the COM port.
H Connect through an external device (modem, LAN adapter, etc.) to the COM
port.
