DAILY CARE
❐ If the room is cold, refer to "Cold Weather Power-up" on page 8 before
disconnecting the power cord.
❐ For Type I models only, before turning off the machine make sure that the
remaining memory capacity is 100%. If the machine is disconnected, any fax
messages in the memory may be lost.
Procedure
1. Check the Check display indicator. If it is blinking, correct the fault.
2. Check the copy quality.
2-1) Place the document in the feeder.
2-2)Type I Models: Press the Start key.
Type II Models: Press the Copy key.
3. Disconnect the power cord.
4. Clean the scanner and rollers:
4-1) Open the operation panel.
4-2) Pull up the green levers.
4-3) The Scanner glass [A] (shaded
area), which is under the white
rollers[B]. Clean the glass with a
cotton swab and alcohol. Clean
the feed roller [C] and separation
pad [D] with water.
