Printing
Requirements for Printing in Macintosh
There are three interfaces for Macintosh
1. LocalTalk interface
Mininum System requirements for Macintosh
•Mac OS 7.0 or later
•LaserWriter 8
•Macintosh System with LocalTalk port
QwikLaser 6100 Option required
•Postscript Option (Postscript Simm and 8 MB Ram Simm)
•Serial/LocalTalk Option
2. USB interface
Mininum System requirements for Macintosh
•Mac OS 8.6 or later
•Macintosh System with USB port
QwikLaser 6100 Option required
•Postscript Option (Postscript Simm and 8 MB Ram Simm)
3. Network(Ethertalk) interface
Mininum System requirements for Macintosh
•Mac OS 7.0 or later
•LaserWriter 8
•Macintosh System with Network(Ethertalk) port
QwikLaser 6100 Option required
•Postscript Option (Postscript Simm and 8 MB Ram Simm)
•Network card Option
Printing a Document
The following procedure describes general steps required for printing
from various Macintosh applications. The exact steps for printing a
document may vary depending on the application program you are
using. Refer to your software application’s documentation for the exact
printing procedure.
1. Start the program you are using to create the document and open the
document you want to print.
2. Select Print from the File menu.
3. Ensure that the QwikLaser 6100 is the selected printer.
4. After making any necessary changes to the print settings, click Print to
start the print job.
