Vertical alignment mode
The vertical alignment mode serves to compensate for the slippage of the vertical printing
positions, that occurs due to individual differences and age distortion of the printer.
Operation and printing pattern
Before performing the adjustment mode, make sure the ribbon cassette and at least 10-inch
wide paper are properly installed in the printer.
1. Press the SETUP and BIN keys simultaneously while turning ON the printer or pressing the
RESET key. Hold down the both SETUP and BIN keys until the LCD displays
"ALIGNADJUST".
SETUP key + BIN key + Power ON (or RESET key)
2. Seven patterns from +3 to -3 in the mode 0 are printed in accordance with the printing
conditions. The pattern of the present printing condition is printed at position 0 (zero).
3. After the patterns are printed and the friction lever is set to the fanfold setting, the paper is
automatically scrolled. When the friction lever is set to the cut sheet setting, the form feed
operation takes place and the LCD indicates “SELECT GRADE: 0”.
