Youmayalsorequire:
• AUSB,Ethernet,or9‐pinserialcable.Thismustbelong
enoughtorunfromthemountinglocationoftheMP
modemtothecomputer.
· ThemaximumlengthfortheserialorUSBcableis5.5m

feet).TheUSBcablemusthaveaTypeAmale
connectoratthecomputerendandaTypeBmale
connectorattheMPmodemend.
· TheEthernetcableshouldhaveRJ‐45connectors.The
MPmodem’sperformanceisaffectedbythetypeof
Ethernetcardinthecomputerandthetypeofcable
used.TheminimumrequirementfortheEthernetcable
isanunshieldedtwistedpair(UTP)cable,category3or
4.Forbetterperformance,
useashielded,category5
