1.3. Shutdown Timeouts
A Power Save mode is installed in Validator-NT to conserve battery life
(see Figure 1.4). When the pre-set time limit is reached without any key
input the main unit screen will begin to blink. Pressing any key will bring
back the full screen and reset the timer.
Select preferences for the timeframes in minutes that you wish the
Backlight, the Validator-NT Operating System, and the Tone Generator
to automatically shutdown and timeout in order to preserve battery
life. Click the down arrow on each drop down dialog box and select the
number of minutes desired before each function turns off. Press Accept,
then press Set (F1) to initiate your selections and return to the Setup
screen.
