Hub Flash
1. Select Hub Flash.
2. From the drop down menu, select a specic data rate or Any if
you wish to have the hub and the Validator-NT auto negotiate the
speed. Press Accept.
3. In 10Mb or 100 Mb mode, the Validator-NT can be set to emulate
a NIC, a HUB or an Auto mode (auto MDI/MDIX) device using
the drop down menu. If plugging into a hub, the Validator-NT
must be set to NIC or Auto modes. The Auto mode can be used
most of the time, but it may be necessary to select Hub or NIC
mode when connecting to a network device that can “sleep” such
as a laptop computer to wake it up. Or if the device to be ashed
is slow to negotiate in the auto mode.
4. Press Flash (F1) soft key to begin.
