11.4.1 Dening SNMP Notication Properties
The SNMP Notication Properties Page contains parameters for dening SNMP notication parameters.
To dene SNMP notication global parameters:
1. Click System > SNMP Management > Notication > Properties. The SNMP Notication Properties Page opens:

The SNMP Notification Properties Page contains the
following elds:
Enable SNMP Notications — Species whether the
device can send SNMP notications. The possible eld
values are:
– Enable — Enables SNMP notications.
– Disable — Disables SNMP notications.
Enable Authentication Notications — Species whether SNMP authentication failure notication is enabled on the
device. The possible eld values are:
– Enable — Enables the device to send authentication failure notications.
– Disable — Disables the device from sending authentication failure notications.
2. Dene the Enable SNMP Notication and Enable Authentication Notications elds.
3. Click . The SNMP notication properties are dened, and the device is updated.
11.4.2 Dening Notication Filters
The SNMP Notication FiIter Page permits ltering traps based on OIDs. Each OID is linked to a device feature or a portion
of a feature. The SNMP Notication FiIter Page also allows network managers to lter notications.
