4 Is the printer printing codes or not printing at all when in
ESP mode (emulation sensing processor)?
YES - Check the following:
■ Reconfigure the port to the specific printer emulation of the
file you are trying to print. You can use the PS Executive
Series Utilities, the control panel, or a remote console to
change emulations.
■ If a PostScript file prints PostScript emulation statements
while in ESP mode, increase the emulation timeout with the
PS Executive Series Utility or the control panel.
■ If you continue to have problems with the ESP mode, contact
QMS Customer Technical Assurance. See appendix A, “QMS
Customer Support.”
