Logical Connection
AXIS 540/542 Running simultaneously any combination of the supported protocols. Use of
IEEE802.2, IEEE802.3, SNAP and Ethernet II frame types simultaneously.
AXIS 640/642 Running simultaneously any combination of the supported protocols. Use of
IEEE802.2 and IEEE802.5 (with Early Token release support for 16 Mbps),
frame types simultaneously.

connector. Sustained throughput up to 400 kbytes/s using NetWare or LAN

Power Consumption Power provided by external supply
AXIS 540/540+ Maximum 170 mA at 12 VDC. (Type PS-A, 9 V, 300 mA). Power can
optionally be provided by the printer (Centronics pin 18: 5 VDC, 300 mA).
AXIS 542/542+ Maximum 170 mA at 15 VDC. (Type PS-B, 12 V, 500 mA).
AXIS 640/642: Maximum 170 mA at 15 VDC. (Type PS-B, 12 V, 500 mA). An optional
jumper enables power provided by the printer (Centronics pin 18: 5 VDC,
350 mA).
