Error Messages
When an error message appears on the display, follow the directions provided below.
Error Messages
Press any key to clear the error message.
Message Cause/Remedy
The installed batteries are getting weak.
The installed batteries are about to run out. Replace with new
batteries or connect the AC adaptor before continuing.
An incompatible AC adaptor is connected. Use only the AC
adaptor designed exclusively for your P-touch.
The tape cutter is closed when you try to print or feed tape
with the cover closed and the tape casette inserted. Turn the
P-touch off and then on again before continuing.
When tape is tangled in the cutter, remove the tape.
There is no text, symbols or barcode data entered when you
try to print or preview a label. Enter data before continuing.
There is no tape cassette installed when you try to print or
preview a label, or feed tape. Install a tape cassette before
continuing.
The tape cassette was changed while printing, etc. Make
sure the correct tape cassette is inserted before printing.
There are already five lines of text when you press the
key. Limit the number of lines to five.
There are more than three lines of text when you press the
or key while using 12 mm tape. Limit the number
of lines to three, or change the tape cassette to a larger one.
