Formatting an SD card
When you purchase your own SD card, you must format the SD card before using it.
NOTE
Before formatting an SD card, make sure if there is no important data on it. When you format an SD card
that was previously used with other devices, all of its data will be deleted.
a Insert the SD card into the SD card slot.
b Turn on your scanner.
c Make sure that SD appears on the LCD display.
d On the scanner’s control panel, press Menu.
e Press HQ / STD () or PDF / JPG ( ) until FMT is displayed on the LCD.
f Press Start / OK.
g Do one of the following:
• To format the SD card, press HQ / STD () or PDF / JPG ( ) to select YES, and then press Start /
OK.
The SD icon and FMT in the LCD display will blink, and the scanner will begin to format the SD card.
When the LCD display OK, formatting is complete.
• To cancel formatting, press HQ / STD () or PDF / JPG ( ) to select NO, and then press Start / OK.
