Installing Cluster Administrator for Windows 2000 on a
Remote Console Running Windows NT 4.0 Server,
Enterprise Edition
Since the Windows 2000 Cluster Service uses different resources than Windows NT
4.0 Server, Enterprise Edition, you cannot install the Windows 2000 Administrator
Pack on clients running Windows NT 4.0. Also, a Windows 2000 cluster can be
remotely administered using the Cluster Administrator included with Windows NT
Server 4.0.
See your Windows NT 4.0 Server, Enterprise Edition 4.0 documentation for more
information on the installation of Cluster Administrator on a remote client.
NOTE: Using Windows NT Server, Enterprise Edition 4.0 Cluster Administrator may
generate error messages if it detects Windows 2000 cluster resources. Dell strongly
recommends using Windows 2000 clients and the Windows 2000 Administrator Pack
for cluster administration and monitoring.
