12. Disconnect the wireless catcher cable from the system board.
13. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
14. Use the pull tab to disconnect the touch pad cable from the system board.
15. Lift up on the lever to disconnect the contactless smartcard cable from the system board.
16. Lift up on the lever to disconnect the fingerprint reader cable from the system board (optional).
17. Lift the left side of the palm rest, then push in on the right side to release the palm rest, then gently lift it up from the computer. Before lifting the palm
rest free of the computer, disconnect the suspend-switch cable attached to the I/O board.
18. With the palm rest laid top down, remove the screws securing the left and right speakers and remove the speakers.
Replacing the Palm Rest Assembly
1. Attach the left and right speakers to the palm rest using two screws for each. Route the speaker cable through the palm rest assembly.
2. Position the palm rest assembly over the computer and attach the cable from the palm rest assembly to the I/O board.

NOTICE: Do not use force to separate the palm rest from the computer. If you encounter resistance, gently flex or apply pressure to the palm rest, or
move along the edge, working away from the area of resistance, until the palm rest is free.
