Port Configuration
The port configuration menu allows you to change the port state in the case
when you would like to partition a port due to excessive collision, or for
observation, device repair, security reasons. Great caution, however, must be
observed when partitioning a port; you should make sure that the partitioned
port is not being used as the port to control or monitor the condition of other
devices.
To change the configuration of a port:
1.
Choose
Port Configuration
from the main menu.
2.
Specify the port in the
Port(1-8)
field.
3.
In the
Port State
field, change the port state to enable or disable.
4.
Choose SAVE and press Enter to let the changes take effect.
5.
Choose EXIT and hit the enter key to leave the Port Configuration
menu.
