The MITX-430/MITX-440-DVI-2E is designed to use the Intel ICH8M I/O Hub. The ICH8 provides
extensive I/O support. Functions and capabilities are as follows:
z PCI Express Base Specification, supports Revision 1.1.
z PCI Local Bus Specification, supports Revision 2.3 for 33 MHz PCI operations.
z Supports ACPI Power Management Logic.
z Enhanced DMA controller, interrupt controller, and timer functions.
z Integrated serial ATA host controllers with independent DMA operation on up to three
ports.
z Integrated IDE controller supports Ultra ATA100/66/33.
z USB host interface with support for up to ten USB ports, five UHCI host controllers, two
EHCI high-speed USB 2.0 host controllers.
z Integrated 10/100/1000 GbE MAC.
z System Management Bus (SMBus) Specification, Version 2.0 with additional support for
most I2C devices.
z Supports Intel high definition audio.
z Low Pin Count (LPC) interface.
z Supports Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).
