Print head alignment
In addition to aligning the print head from the printer software,
you can also align the head using the control panel. See also
“Aligning the Print Heads” on page 8-41. Follow the
instructions below to align the print head using the control
panel:
1. Make sure the printer is turned off.
2. Load A4 or letter size plain paper in the printer.
3. Hold down both the
Reset
and
Eject
buttons and press
Operate
button to turn the printer on.
4. The Operate light and the lower paper tray light start
flashing and the printer enters the print head alignment
mode. The printer prints a pattern similar to the one below.
