RX900 S1 Maintenance Manual 105
8 Expansion cards and BBU
I The number and location of available PCIe slots depends on the
CPUMEMR configuration. Make sure that the planned CPUMEMR
configuration enables you to use the PCIe slots needed for the individual
use case of the server.
For detailed information on configuration rules and supported expansion
card types see "Baseboard D3081, CPUMEMR D3131, PCIR D3082 for
PRIMERGY RX900 S1 Technical Manual" or in the configurator using the
following link:

(for the EMEA market).
Figure 52 shows the PCIe slot configuration. Expansion cards can be installed
in the PCIe slots on the PCI Riser (A) and on the baseboard (D). The PCI Riser
is connected to the baseboard via the connectors C and E.
The PCIe slots are assigned as follows:
● B: non-hot plug PCIe slots on the PCI Riser
● F: non-hot plug PCIe slot for the Modular Raid controller only
● G: hot-plug PCIe slots
● H: non-hot plug PCIe slots on the baseboard
