Power supply
5.2.2 Starting the task
Ê Perform the following procedures:
1. Open the rear door of the rack, see "Opening the rack door" on page 40
2. "Locate the faulty server" on page 37
3. Only when replacing a non-defective hot-plug power supply unit in a
non-redundant configuration: "Shutting down the server" on page 41
4. "Locate the faulty component by PRIMERGY diagnostics indicators" on
page 39
5.2.3 Removing the power supply unit

Ê Remove the power cord from the cable strap. You can loosen the cable strap
by opening the small locking lever.
Ê Remove the power cord from the installed power supply unit.
Ê Press the green release lever (1) and pull out the power supply unit in the
direction of the arrow (2). Grip the handle while pulling the power supply.
Ê Completely remove the defective power supply unit from the bay.
V CAUTION!
Never leave the bay for the power supply unit empty for more than two
minutes during operation. Otherwise, excessive temperatures could
damage system components.
