Replacing the hard drive
Use this procedure to replace the hard drive.
To replace the hard drive:
1 Open the case by following the instructions in “Opening the computer
case” on page 216.
2 Press the drive cage release latch.
Tips & Tricks For more stability, place your computer face down to
perform this procedure. Avoid scratching the computer
display by placing it on a towel or other non-abrasive
surface.
Warning Make sure that you removed all external cables and the
power cord.
