Extend the server from the rack (on page 28).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 31).
4. Remove fan 5 ("Fan 5" on page 31).
5. If installed, remove the BBWC battery pack or the FBWC capacitor pack ("BBWC battery pack or
FBWC capacitor pack" on page 33).
6. Remove the air baffle ("Air baffle" on page 34).
7. Remove the fan cage ("Fan cage" on page 35).
8. Disconnect the data and power cables from the eight-bay SFF drive cage in bay 2.
9. Remove any SFF drives installed in bay 2 ("SAS/SATA hard drive" on page 41).
10. Using a T-15 Torx screwdriver, remove the eight-bay SFF drive cage from bay 2.
11. Using a T-15 Torx screwdriver, remove the backplane from the drive cage.
