Controlling the Display Format
The DSP menu (press
D
) gives you options for formatting numbers.
You can pick the number of decimal places to be displayed, and
whether to use a comma or a period to “punctuate” your numbers.
Decimal Places
To change the number of displayed decimal places, first press the
D
key. Then either:
! Press
+
, type the number of decimal places you want (from 0 to
11), and press
I
; or
! Press
,
to see a number as precisely as possible at any time
(12 digits maximum).
Internal Precision
Changing the number of displayed decimal places affects what you see,
but does not affect the internal representation of numbers. The number
inside the calculator always has 12 digits.
