Interpreting Port Status LEDs
The following table provides LED port information.
LED State Meaning of LED
Twisted-pair
Port (green)
On Link beat is detected from the attached node.
Off The port is not receiving the link beat signal from the attached
node.
Slow
Flash*
The port has been auto-partitioned. This port has been auto-
partitioned (disabled) due to excessive collisions. This port will
reenable when the connected device no longer causes
collisions.
AUI
Port (green)
On The AUI port is enabled.
Off The AUI port is disabled.
Slow
Flash
The port has been auto-partitioned.
* The slow flash is approximately once every 1.5 seconds.
