10. Install the minimum memory
configuration for the system (see
“Installing a DIMM” on page 192). To
determine the minimum memory
configuration for your system, see

15.
11. Reconnect the system to the power
source and turn on the system.
12. Make sure that the reported memory
size is the same as the installed
memory size.
13. Run the test again. If the memory
passes the test, one of the
uninstalled DIMMs is the failing
component.
14. Repeat the steps to remove all
DIMMs as necessary, using different
DIMMs to isolate the failing
component. Change only one
component each time to identify the
specific cause of the error.
15. Replace the failing DIMM.
