BIOS Setup Utility items
The following tables show the contents of the Cong menu items, the Security menu items, and the Startup
menu items of the BIOS Setup Utility.
Note: Some items are displayed on the menu only if the computer supports the corresponding features.
Notes:
• Enabled means that the function is congured.
• Disabled means that the function is not congured.
• Default values are in boldface.

controller receives a magic packet.
Note: Wake On LAN function does not work when a

Ethernet LAN Option ROM

Loads the Ethernet LAN Option ROM to enable
startup from an integrated network device.
Wireless LAN and WiMAX
Radios

If you select “On,” the internal wireless radio is turned
on. If you select “Off,” the internal wireless radio is
turned off.
USB
USB BIOS Support

Enable or disable boot support for USB oppy disk
drive and USB CD-ROM.
Always On USB
• Enabled
• Disabled
If you select “Enabled,” the external USB devices can
be charged via USB ports even when the system is in
low power mode (standby, hibernation, or power-off).
Always On USB Charge in Off
Mode
• Enabled
• Disabled
If you select “Enabled,” the Always On USB
connector enables you to charge some devices,
such as iPod, iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones.
Note: If you want to charge these devices when
your computer is in hibernation mode or powered
off, you will need to open the Power Manager
program and congure corresponding settings to
enable the Always On USB connector function. For
details about how to enable the Always On USB
connector function, refer to the online help of the
Power Manager program.
Keyboard/Mouse
Fn Key Lock • Enabled
• Disabled
When enabled, you can press the Fn key to keep
it in a pressed condition, then press the desired
function key. The action is equivalent to pressing the
required key and the Fn key simultaneously. When
you pressed the Fn key twice, the state is locked
until you press the Fn key again.
