Installing and Removing an Interface Card
You can add or replace an interface card with the power on or off.
To replace an interface card, see the next section, “Removing an Interface Card
.”
To install an interface card, see “Installing an Interface Card
” on page 4-14.
Removing an Interface Card
You can remove an interface card with the power on or off.
To remove an interface card:
1.
Attach the antistatic wrist strap.
For instructions, see “Attaching the Antistatic Wrist Strap” on page 4-3

2.
Disconnect any cables attached to the ports on the interface card.
3.
Using a flat-tip screwdriver, loosen the 2 captive screws securing the
interface card to the chassis (Figure 4-8)
.
Note:
The chassis contains a hot-swap switch integrated in the ejector lever.
Make sure that both captive fasteners are tight for proper operation.
Caution:
Do not operate the Versalar 15000 with an empty interface card slot.
If you need to replace a failed interface card and you do not yet have a
replacement card,

eave the failed interface card installed or install an air flow
module
