Local Console Interface
The SSP interface console card contains one console service interface, labeled
Console; its DB-9 plug connector provides an RS-232-D serial connection. You
use this local console port to connect the Versalar 15000 to any
VT-100-compatible console device for direct console access.
The Versalar 15000 shipping package includes a console/modem cable and null
modem adapter for connecting devices to the console port.
• To connect a terminal to the console port, use the console/modem cable with
the null modem adapter.
• To connect an IBM compatible PC to the console port, use the
console/modem cable and the null modem adapter plus a standard AT serial
cable with one DB-25 plug connector, supplied with the PC.
