Connecting a PC with a 9-pin Comm Port to the Console Port
To connect a PC to the console port, you need the following item, which is
shipped with the Versalar 15000:
• Serial console cable with 9-pin receptacle connectors
(Order No. 117296-A)
When you have the correct equipment, complete the following steps:
1.
Turn on and configure a comm port on the PC, using the parameters in
Table 4-1
.
Refer to the PC user manual for instructions.
2.
Insert the 9-pin receptacle end of the console cable into the console
connector on the SSP interface console card (Figure 4-20)
