Using the Function Keys
Function keys are used to access special features such as
loading supplies. For example,
• At the FORMAT? prompt, press . You will see
the message RELOADING and a blinking cursor
indicating you are in shift mode.
• After you load supplies, press , then to return to
the FORMAT? prompt.
Table 1. on the next page tells what action each function key
does.
When you press , the printer stays in shift mode, as
indicated by the blinking cursor, until the operation is complete.
When the operation is complete, the printer will return to
regular mode.
