Suppose you wished to invesgate the relaonship between hand spans and shoe sizes. You might therefore
wish to divide every hand-span measurement by the corresponding shoe size. These raos would best be
expressed in decimal rather than fraconal format so change the Document Sengs for Calculaon Mode to
Approximate (~721).
There are 3 ways (at least!) of calculang the raos on the TI-Nspire. Try one of the following now.
Either: in cell D1 type the expression =B1/A1. Select D1 and ll down the column by pressing b and
choosing the opons and .
Or: in the grey formula area at the top of column D enter .
Or: in the grey formula area enter .
Press b and noce the various opons
available in the  applicaon.
TI-Nspire has most of the eding features that
you would expect from a spreadsheet including
selecng, inserng, moving and deleng rows,
columns and cells.
You can also create absolute cell references in the usual way using $ chosen from the symbols key menu (º)
and you can sort data in columns (b16). To sort mulple columns at once by one column press £ unl the
column is selected then hold down g and press ¡ or ¢ to select the columns you want before choosing Sort
from the  menu.
