Setting the Transmission Conditions
Set the resolution, the image quality mode, exposure, original size, subject and body of originals. Whenever
a transmission is completed, the condition will automatically return to the default setting. The following
describes the setting of each item.
- Resolution:
Set the resolution before you scan the original to be sent.
STANDARD, FINE, U-FINE
* For the Internet Fax, the original is sent in FINE though U-FINE is selected.
- Image Quality Mode:
Set the image quality mode before you scan the original to be sent.
TEXT, PHOTO/TEXT, TEXT
* The transmission time may be longer than usual in case the PHOTO/TEXT or the PHOTO mode is
selected.
- Exposure:
Set the image density according to the contrast of the original to be sent.
AUTO, MANUAL (11 steps)
* In the automatic exposure mode, the copier automatically judges the contrast of the original, and selects
the optimum contrast.
* In the manual exposure mode, you can adjust the contrast manually in 11 steps.
- Original Size:
Set the scanning size of the original to be sent.
AUTO: The size of the original is automatically determined before it is scanned.
SPECIFIED SIZE: The original is scanned in the specified size regardless of its actual size. Use this mode
when you are using non-standard size paper or you want to limit the area of the original to sent.
* When originals are placed in the reversing automatic document feeder, they are scanned in the AUTO
mode. You can specify the size only when the original is placed on the original glass.
* For the Internet Fax, all originals are sent in LT size. The larger original than LT size is reduced to LT size,
and the smaller original than LT size is put with a margin.
- Subject/Body:
Subject and body can be added to the originals to be sent.
