Network Address Translation (NAT)
This chapter discusses how to configure NAT on the Prestige.
17.1 NAT Overview
NAT (Network Address Translation - NAT, RFC 1631) is the translation of the IP address of a host in a
packet, for example, the source address of an outgoing packet, used within one network to a different IP
address known within another network.
17.2 Applying NAT
You apply NAT via menus 4 or 11.3 as displayed next. The next figure shows you how to apply NAT for
Internet access in menu 4. .

Step 1. Enter 4 from the main menu..
Step 2. Move the cursor to the Network Address Translation field, press [SPACE BAR] to select
SUA Only.
Step 3. Press [ENTER] to save your settings back to the Prestige.
