materials
Users need the following information and materials:
• Root login and password
• File name or device name to backup the database
Procedure Only the system administrator or root users should execute the procedure to remove the
DEFINITY Network Management product.
The remove script prompts you to backup the database to a file or an archive device.
1 Close all windows and applications. Log off the network server.
2 Optional. Hook up the archive device to backup the database.
3 At the UNIX login prompt, log in as the root user:
•Type [
root login]
•Press
ENTER

At the Password prompt,
•Type [root password]
•Press
ENTER
Result: The system displays the UNIX prompt.
5 In a Unix console window, set up DNM environment:
•Type
. /etc/avaya/DEFINITY/ENV
•Press ENTER
Result: The system displays the prompt:
