Installation Requirements
We recommend a system environment that meets the following
conditions for optimal use of the DR-2020U.
Operating System
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional SP4 or later
• Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3 or later
• Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP3 or later
• Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition SP2 or later
• Microsoft Windows Vista Home basic/Home Premium/Business/
Ultimate/Enterprise SP1 or later (32-bit or 64-bit version)
Computer Specifications
CPU:
Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz or faster
Memory:
1 GB or more
Hard disk:
1 GB or more available space
Monitor:
Resolution of 1024 × 768 (XGA) or better
Other:
• USB 2.0 interface
• CD-ROM drive (for software installation)
• DVD drive (for installation of supplied Adobe Acrobat 9.0)
Application Software
Use ISIS/TWAIN-compliant applications that are compatible with the
above system environments.
Note
• Use the latest USB 2.0 driver made available by Microsoft. For
details, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
• Operation is not guaranteed with all USB interfaces, even if present
as standard equipment on the computer. If the USB interface that is
standard-equipped on your computer does not operate properly, use
the recommended Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface card.
• Use the supplied USB cable or a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 compatible
cable.
• If the CPU, memory, interface card, and other computer
specifications do not satisfy the system requirements, scanning and
transmission speeds may be greatly reduced.
