Preparing for Microsoft Windows 2000
Datacenter Server Installation
Before installing Microsoft
Windows 2000 Datacenter Server on your cluster nodes,
you must perform the following procedures:
• Review the minimum system software and hardware requirements for
implementing Windows 2000 Datacenter Server on a Dell PowerEdge Cluster
FE100/FL100 system
(see Chapter 1, “Getting Started”)
• Review and perform the installation procedures
(see Chapter 2, “Installation Overview”)
• Prepare the PowerEdge and PowerVault systems for clustering
(see Chapter 3, “Preparing PowerEdge and PowerVault Systems for Clustering”)
• Cable the cluster hardware
(see Chapter 4, “Cabling the Cluster Hardware”)
