Dell PowerEdge Cluster FE100/FL100 Installer Data Sheet and Checklist for an
Upgrade Installation to Windows 2000 Datacenter Server
Instructions: Before configuring the systems for clustering, use this checklist to gather information and
prepare your systems for a successful installation. This data sheet assumes that Windows 2000 Datacenter
Server was factory or customer installed on each node. If you are installing these systems for the first time,
use the complete installation data sheet.
Pre-Installation Settings
GAdd NICs, hard-disk drives and all other hardware components to both nodes and the storage system to
meet the PowerEdge Cluster FE100/FL100 minimum configuration requirements.
GCable the system hardware for clustering.
Windows 2000 Datacenter Server Settings
GServers are added to a domain. Domain name: ____________________________
GWindows 2000 service pack is installed.
GThe drivers for your BroadCom NetExtreme Gigabit Ethernet NIC or Giganet cLAN 1000 adapter for the
private NIC are the latest versions.
GNetwork protocol is TCP/IP only. Uninstall all other protocols.
GA static TCP/IP address is required for each NIC:
