When canceling a print job you may need to turn
the printer off and on to complete the cancellation
and clear the paper from the printer. You will also
need to cancel the print job from within the
application.
Multitasking
If you want to print from applications which will
be running simultaneously, the printer device will
be locked by the first application to print until you
have exited from that applicationÕs print box. If
you attempt to print from the second application, a
warning may or may not be issued to tell you that
the printer is still in use (even if it is idle).
Applications
The PrimeraPro will print well with any
application which uses the ÓPreferences PrinterÒ
interface properly. The PrimeraPro will not print
well, however, from programs which dither the
image before sending it to the printer. ADPro and a
few other programs fall into this category. If you
have questions about your particular program,
contact the software manufacturer or FARGO
Technical Support.

PrimeraProÕs
FARGO: Device
Print Program
The PrimeraPro printer driver diskette also
includes an additional print program called the
FARGO: device which loads with the PPCI and
shows up as an icon on the desktop. This device
allows you to print images in full 24-bit color by
bypassing the Preferences print function and,
therefore, the color limitations which lie within.
Any of the native Amiga file formats such as IFF,
ILBM, Ham-6, or Ham-8 can be printed through the
FARGO: device. The FARGO: device is only
compatible with Amiga DOS version 2.x or higher.
To print through the FARGO: device, you simply
Copy As or Save As the file to the FARGO: device
rather than using the Print options from within the
various software programs. You do not need to use
the Print section of the software programs when
printing through the FARGO: device. The PPCI is
still used, however, to provide some of the controls
such as ribbon and paper choices. The FARGO:
device has a wide range of controls from A to Z.
