Settings
The PrimeraPro Color Printer has an 8-position
DIP switch located on the rear panel next to the
parallel input port. These switches define a
number of printer functions. The factory default
settings for the switches are in the ÒupÓ or ÒoffÓ
position. These settings are adequate for most
applications.
To change the settings, use a pointed (but not
sharp) object such as a pen or pencil. Turn the
printerÕs power switch on and off to initialize the
changes.
The tables below list all possible switch settings on
the PrimeraPro Color Printer.
The PrimeraPro Color Printer can be set for two
basic types of ribbons and for two basic types of
page information: color or monochrome. The
switch settings described here allow you to
optimize your printer for a minimum amount of
ribbon waste, depending upon which type of
printing you do most often.
1. If you are going to use only color ribbon, leave
SW1 off. If you are going to use only monochrome
ribbon or both color and monochrome ribbon, turn
