OPTION ACCESSIBILITY: Through any serial computer port.
By responding to the Enter Request: message at the end of the main
configuration mode (see
Section 8.1
) with "5" (Set Port Select Mode),
you may change the method of selecting ports.
The Model 24SII DES will respond with:

Enter Port Number (ENTER=Exit) :Enter the number of the port on
which the Port Select Mode is to be changed and then strike the Enter
key. For example, if you entered "3" and Enter for Port 3, the Model
24SII DES will respond with:
Port Select Mode is ( Anytime ) while printing
Enter A for Anytime, B for Beginning, ENTER for no change :
Enter the Port Select Mode that you wish. For example, if you entered
"B" for Beginning, the Model 24SII DES will respond with:
Port Select Mode is ( Beginning ) of printing only
Enter A for Anytime, B for Beginning, ENTER for no change :
If no other change is required, strike the Enter key for no change, and
the Model 24SII DES will respond with an updated menu and a
prompt to continue or exit:
