Console Command Reference
CHAPTER 3
start-fg
start-fg <dport-bitmask> <count> <rate>
Starts frame generation. dport-bitmask is a hex bitmask of the ports
to generate traffic on. For example, a
dport-bitmask of 3E sends
frames to ports 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. The
count specifies the number of frames
to send on each port. A count of 0 sends packets until you type the
stop-fg command. The rate specifies the number of packets per
second to generate.
stop-fg
Stops the frame generator.
IP Commands
This section lists the available IP commands. In the sections that
follow, IP Configuration lists general configuration commands, Ping
lists commands that describe the ping ability of the agent, and
Address Resolution Protocol lists ARP commands.
IP configuration
get-ip
Displays the switch’s current IP address:
SYS_console> get-ip
The device IP address is: 192.001.001.064
SYS_console> _
If the switch doesn’t have an IP address assigned:
SYS_console> get-ip
The device has no IP address defined.
get-ip-conf
Displays the complete current IP configuration: IP address, netmask
(subnet mask), and broadcast address (default gateway).
SYS_console> get-ip-conf
The device IP address, netmask and broadcast are:
IP address : 192.001.001.064
IP netmask : 255.255.255.000
IP broadcast : 192.001.001.255
