Changing the number of
BOOTP request hops
This parameter specifies the maximum number of hops that a BOOTP
request can make before being discarded. To change the number of
hops:
1 Select VLAN/Routing Setup.
2 Click Advanced>IP Routing.
3 Double-click the Maximum BootP request hops, and type
the new value.
4 Click OK.
Changing RSVP settings This ReSerVation Protocol (RSVP) facility allows bandwidth to be
reserved, enabling guaranteed delivery of data. To change the set-
tings:
1 Select VLAN/Routing Setup.
2 Click Advanced>IP Routing.
3
Click box to enable/disable RSVP, set Refresh Timer period and
Cleanup timeout factor.
4 Click OK.
Changing Type of Service
priorities
This uses IP packet preference settings to prioritize traffic through the
switch. Packets with a higher setting are handled in preference to
packets with lower settings. To change the priority level:
1 Select VLAN/Routing Setup.
2 Click Advanced>IP Routing.
3 Double-click the ToS, and type the new value (range 1-7).
