The Intel

Server System R1000GZ/GL provides locations and hardware for installing hard drives,
CD-ROM drive, or DVD-ROM drive. The following figure shows the available options.

Hard Disk Drive Carriers
The Intel
®
Server System R1000GZ/GL ships with either 3.5-inch or 2.5 inch hard disk dirve
carrier, and with different maximun number of hard disk drives, see Table 4 for details :

Note: Drives can consume up to 17 watts of power each. Drives must be specified to run at a maximum
ambient temperature of 45
°C.
Note: The Intel
®
Server System R1000GZ/GL does not support all SAS or Serial ATA (SATA) hard drives.
