Black only mode
In black only mode, all colors print in grayscale. The printer prints fastest when in black only mode. Black only mode is off by
default. Be sure to select black only mode both in the driver and through the printer operator panel.
To turn on black only mode through the printer operator panel:
1 Turn the printer off.
2 Press and hold and while turning the printer on.
3 Release both buttons when Performing Self Test appears on the display.
The printer performs its power-on sequence, and then Config Menu appears on the first line of the display.
4 Press until Black Only Mode appears, and then press .
5 Press until On appears, and then press .
