2.5 Jumper Settings for Clearing CMOS Data
Jumper JP6
Clear CMOS Data
If, for some reason, the CMOS
data becomes corrupted or
you forgot the supervisor/user/
keyboard password, the
system can be reconfigured
with the default values stored
in the ROM BIOS. To load the
default values, power off your
system and unplug the power
cord. If you are using an AT
power supply, you do not
need to unplug the power
cord. Set JP6 pins 2 and 3 to On. Wait for a few seconds and set
JP6 back to its default setting, pins 1 and 2 On. You may now plug
the power cord and power-on your system.
2-3 On:
Clear CMOS Data
1-2 On: Normal
(default)
Jumper JP2s settings are shown below.
2-3 On: 66MHz
1-2 On: Auto
(default)
1-2-3 Off: 100MHz
